ABOUT
Hi! Thank you for your interest in my work.
My career as a designer and commercial illustrator (working as E.W. Thomason) has shaped my core belief that external forces such as client input and time constraints can be channeled and utilized—rather than resisted—to help yield beautiful and idiosyncratic work.
I’m lucky to work on great projects with great people. For instance, while at the brand design firm Iconologic (now Copeland Design), I created the Look of the Games and Sport Pictograms for the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games. I've worked with both global brands and small organizations ranging from Coca-Cola to The US Virgin Islands to André 3000 of OutKast.
My design and illustration work has been featured on covers of Communication Arts Magazine and Auburn Alumni Magazine, and has been showcased in the AIGA Design Archives, Applied Arts, DesignWorkLife, Brand New, The One Show (Golden Pencil), and The Great Discontent. Two of my posters for the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games are in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum.
I have given many lectures to student and professional groups, and I serve on the Advisory Council for the School of Industrial & Graphic Design at Auburn University.
I live in Atlanta with my husband Chuck and my son Charles.
